Reunion Bulletin # 5
Hello everyone…
We are looking forward to welcoming
everyone to Wellington in two months’ time.. It’s going to be a good week
with our special Main Event dinner on Thursday, November 20. And there
are still tickets for the Rolling Stones in Auckland on November 22 if anyone
is interested.
I’ve been away but am now on
deck, meeting Victoria University Chancellor Ian McKinnon this week to go over
details.
Look out for the Victorious magazine article in October starring
KK Chong. And our committee member, David White, is coming up to Kuala
Lumpur for work this week carrying details of the reunion. It’s all go.
Boomrock on Sunday, November 16th
– We need to confirm:
Our possible Farming/Sporting/Gourmet
day at Boomrock needs 15 participants to make it happen. We’ve been asked
to confirm as it’s a popular spot.
Could you let me know if you
definitely want to come… by Monday, 15 September? Local
Kiwis are welcome too. Details are below.
Registrations and Payment
There’s still room at the Reunion so
you are welcome to encourage your friends and colleagues to come…and confirm by
payment if you haven’t already.
Registrations are coming in but we need
lots of Kiwis now to fill it up, just like our Malaysian friends did in Kuala
Lumpur. So let your friends know if you are coming. Local Kiwis are
welcome at any event.
Boomrock Details:
We’ve organised a Day at Boomrock as
a possible activity on Sunday, 16 November
2014. Boomrock is a spectacular farm about half an hour’s drive from
Wellington.
The $185 price per person includes transport from the Museum
Hotel in Wellington at 9am, sheep shearing in the woolshed at Boomrock, morning
tea, petanque, horseshoe throwing, walks and a gourmet four course lunch.
There are also other activities including archery, golf ball hitting over the
cliffs and even BMW testing. Transport back at 3pm.
Go to the Boomrock
website and see what they have to offer. Then let me know if
you’d like to come. This replaces the Martinborough Food and Wine
Festival.

Reunion Bulletin # 4
Hello everyone…
You are warmly invited again to the
International reunion in November. Encourage your friends and colleagues
to come…and confirm by payment if you haven’t already. Celebrate that
we’ve moved on from those damp, mouldy flats and long hours behind the bar of
the Royal Oak!!
I didn’t even go to Vic but I’m going to every event and telling everyone how great it’s going to be.
Registrations are coming in but we
need lots of Kiwis now to fill it up, just like our Malaysian friends did in
Kuala Lumpur. So let your friends know if you are coming. They are
very welcome.
Local Kiwis are welcome at any event, but the special sessions are the Day At Vic (Monday) and The Main Event (Thursday).
Boomrock
We’ve organised a Day at Boomrock as
an alternative activity on Sunday, 16 November
2014. Boomrock is a spectacular farm about half an hour’s drive from
Wellington. You would be picked up in a bus for the drive, taken out to
the Boomrock Lodge for morning tea. Down in the woolshed the farmer will
shear a sheep or two for you, and there are plenty of other activities
including archery, knife throwing, golf hitting and even BMW testing. A
very good lunch is included and transport will be provided home.
Alternatively you can go by helicopter!!!! We need 15 people to confirm
and make it happen as it is not open to the public that day.
Cost: $185 per person
includes return coach transport leaving the Museum Hotel in Wellington at 9am,
morning tea, sheep shearing in woolshed at Boomrock, petanque and horseshoe
throwing, walks, gourmet four course lunch. Depart 3pm for Museum Hotel.
Go to the Boomrock website and see what they have to offer.
Then let me know if you’d like to come. This will replace the
Martinborough Food and Wine Festival.
